      <image:title>Foundations of Thought - Arquitectura y Filosofía - Jędrzej Bieńko, Flower 1, 2025, acrylic on canvas, diptych, overall dimensions: 40 × 30 cm</image:title>

<image:title>Foundations of Thought - La Forma del Tiempo - Anselm KieferWer jetzt kein Haus hat, baut sich keines mehr, 2021</image:title>

<image:title>Foundations of Thought - Habitar - Mao Yan. Thomas, 2006. Oil stick on lead paper</image:title>

<image:title>Foundations of Thought - Thinking Space - Agnes Martin. Friendship. 1963. Gold leaf and oil on canvas,190.5 × 190.5 cm.</image:title>
<image:caption>In Friendship (1963), Agnes Martin constructs a field of quiet order where form withdraws in order to be felt. The gold-leaf surface, delicately scored by hand, resists spectacle and instead produces a condition of sustained attention. The grid—barely perceptible, never dominant—operates not as a compositional device but as an underlying structure, allowing light, rhythm, and proportion to define the experience. This logic closely parallels the spatial philosophy of Mies van der Rohe, where structure is never ornamental but essential, and where material, proportion, and light are allowed to speak without mediation. As in Mies’s architecture, Martin’s order is not imposed; it is revealed through repetition and restraint. The grid functions like a tectonic system: silent, rigorous, and generative, holding the work together while remaining almost invisible. Gold, traditionally associated with transcendence, is here stripped of symbolism and treated as material presence. Its luminosity recalls the reflective surfaces of marble, glass, and water in Mies’s spaces, where light becomes an active element and perception unfolds over time. There is no focal point, no hierarchy—only continuity and balance. Friendship proposes a world reduced to essentials, where clarity does not eliminate depth, and simplicity becomes a form of precision. Like Mies’s architecture, the painting is not an image to be consumed, but a space to be inhabited—an experience shaped by stillness, proportion, and the discipline of restraint.</image:caption>

<image:title>Foundations of Thought - Sobre Ser Latino es Estar Lejos: Lectura Deconstructiva - Theodoros Stamos. Red Mound Number 1. 1963-64.</image:title>

<image:caption>Bahareque is a construction technique that uses a wooden or bamboo framework infilled with materials such as mud, clay, straw, or similar mixtures. This method is known for being cost-effective and for using locally sourced materials. The system is based on a wood or bamboo lattice that functions as the building’s structural skeleton. These frames are set in a vertical position, creating a stable structure capable of supporting the weight of the rest of the construction. The gaps between the frames are filled with a mixture of mud, clay, straw, dried leaves, or even recycled materials. It is a sustainable form of construction, as it minimizes the use of industrial resources and reduces the carbon footprint. The use of natural materials helps bahareque buildings remain cool in warm climates and retain heat in colder climates. Overall, bahareque is a traditional, economical, and sustainable construction system that relies on local materials to create solid, adaptable structures. With proper maintenance, it can be a durable option with good seismic resistance.</image:caption>
